Ok, so I have friend with an iPhone 3G running iOS 3.0 (not JB'n).

I wanted to know what is the latest version of iOS I can update his phone to whilst maintaining an Ultrasnow unlock. Also, what would I need to do this? Pwanage Tools? Redsn0w?

The latest firmware version for 3G is 4.2.1. However, 3G is running very slow with firmware 4.0 and above. So, my recommendation is to upgrade your friend phone to 3.1.3. It will also upgrade the phone baseband to 05.12 which is unlockable by ultrans0w.

Jsut wanted to knwo what the latest possible iOS version could be with the ultrasn0w software to work? Just my friend would like to use the "conventional" apple multi-tasking .... yeh i know, i know .... backgrounder is just as good, but hey! What can i do? lol

Also could I JB with the latest redsn0w out?
