People who say that the Hd 3000 is not much lower performance than the 320m are half right. The desktop version offers similar performance, but the standard laptop and especially ULV version are clocked much lower, according to Notebook check. Here are the clocks.

ULV (base 350MHz, Turbo 900-1000MHz)

LV (base 500MHz, Turbo 1000MHz)

Mainstream/Highend Dual/Quad (base 650MHz, Turbo 1100-1200MHz)

Desktop K processors (base 850, Turbo 1100-1350MHz)

Notice Turbo Boost speed are similar, but I doubt there's be much leeway as running games etc :) use both cores to maximum effect anyway. This puts me off waiting for the Air:(. Hopefully 2012 will bring a thinner lighter MBP, with no super-drive and dedicated graphics. Until then I think I might just buy a MBA.
