I have the 2.0 Unibody Macbook (purchased in March) and for some reason every time I insert my jump drive, OSX crashes and the computer needs to be restarted. I also have a newest generation iMac that does not crash when I insert the jump drive into it. Any ideas why this is happening?

I had this same problem with my flash drive. When the computer restarted, with my flash drive still connected, it seemed to work fine, so i took the opportunity to reformat the drive with disk utility.
After this it all worked fine, just remember to back up the disk.
