UMB to TV for DVD watching...how?

I'd like to use my Unibody Macbook as a plain old DVD player on an older CRT TV. I know I need the mini display port to VGA adaptor cord, but what if there's no VGA plug on the TV? Has anyone done this? Surprisingly little info out there.
