All of a sudden my 3 month old uMBP will not stop going in and out of sleep when the lid is closed and it is plugged into an external monitor.
I have been using this computer at work for over 2 months now. All day long I have it plugged into an external monitor with the lid closed and it has worked perfectly this way. I haven't had any issues until today.
It was working just fine all morning. But when I came back from lunch (after putting it to sleep) I tried to wake it up but it won't stop going through this cycle.
If I leave the lid open and run it dual monitor style it stays on with no problems.
What makes me nervous is that I installed a 7200rpm drive in it this weekend but I have had no issues with it. And it even worked fine all morning.
What gives??
Things to note:
- Snow Leopard installed 3 weeks ago (no issues)
- replaced the 5400RPM drive with a 7200rpm drive this weekend (no issues until this)
