Today I am taking my uMBP to the Apple Store for a keyboard issue.

The right side SHIFT key is 50% working, that is unless you press it down hard -OR- on the right side of the key it does not register.

I'm hoping its a quick fix, and doesnt need to be sent out - if it has to be sent out I might just live with it until it no longer works at all.

Now what could be my Biggest Fear????

That Apple takes this uMBP and tries to replace it with a new one.

Why would Apple do that????

Because they do not want anyone to have the Express Card Slot! ;)

FIXED !!!

They popped off the keycap, said it would have to be sent in for repair.
They tech then popped the cap back on and started to write it up.
I checked it and it was working. Reseating the key cap was all it needed.

I told him I was afraid he would say " cannot repair, we'll give you a new MBP with the SD card slot " and then laughed. He laughed as well and said " you know I've heard that a few times last week.
