uMBP Magsafe Fire Thread (Post here if your MBP caught fire)

Hey, I just wanted to create one thread where all the magsafe fire information can be compiled and organized.

If your MBP caught fire, can you please respond with:

The date your computer was purchased/built

The model, the specifications

When the failure occured, and any detailed description of how bad the damage was (pics if any)

How did Apple respond to the situation

If someone does post here, could you also state whether you were using the three-pronged (grounded) plug or the two-pronged?

okay, this is a really stupid question, but I just got my first laptop (13" macbook pro) and I got that 3 pronged wire. How do I use the 3 pronged wire. One end goes into the wall outlet, but where does the other end go?!?!? sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I don't know where else to get a good answer

You can remove the the two-pronged plug from the adapter.
