UMBP Wont sleep in clamshell?

UMBP wont sleep in clamshell? It will sleep if I manually put it to sleep but wont automatically go to sleep.
The power settings are set to put the laptop to sleep after an hour. Laptop sleeps no problem without the second monitor after an hour. With 2nd monitor, no sleep.

Is that normal?
