umm.....i know i can't technically MMS yet, but shouldn't i still see the icon?

I know AT&T doesn't offer MMS yet, but should I still see the icon to add a picture to my message? I remember seeing lots of MMS shots, even from Apple and AT&T, and they had a little icon next to the box where you type your messages. I just noticed I don't have one, so i can't even test to see if MMS is working for me.

When ATT goes public with MMS, will my iPhone automatically upgrade to ATT5.0? or will there be an update through iTunes?....if anyone knows

I heard that it would be an update through iTunes. You will probably get a free text from at&t when it is ready to go.

No. You shouldn't see the option if you don't have MMS. That would be pointless UI clutter.

Should have a prompt that will say:

"Carrier update available. Download now? Yes or No"

There has been a few carrier updates in the past since the original iPhone.
