Umm.. iTunes keeps auto-launching?

iTunes keeps auto launching!

I swear, Im just checking my e-mail or something and iTunes will launch. I quit... it launches again. Wghaa????

The only thing I've done recently is add 1GB of techworks RAM to my MBP (this morning) but it was fine until about 20 minutes ago.

Arrgh! There it goes again! *Apple+Q*

This came up before. Scratching my head here. Was it something to do with a widget? Do you have an iTunes or track-changing widget installed?

It definitely sounds as if something else is starting it and hasn't been told to stop.

My girlfriends macbook kept doing that. it was one of the widgets she was using. Forgot which one though.

I have a widget installed (iTunes Bar) in Konfabulator which keeps iTunes open all of the time. I have to close the widget before iTunes can shut down. Maybe you have something like this installed?

Standard Apple iTunes dashboard widget... I never use it anyway.

A restart seems to have stopped it... I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt me!

Yep...that widget will do it. Don't know why it just decided to make an appearance, but it you don't use it, just get rid of it.
