Hey there

I have done a search (promise) but I can't seem to find how to make the dock background transparent. I was looking through the desktop images that members have posted and some look amazing especially those where the dock icons aren't againast the ubiquitous blue/grey background. I thought Tinker Tool allowed one to make the dock transaprent but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Does anyone know how I can have the dock icons resting beautifully against my desktop background?

Also, whilst I'm here - what app is the duck icon for? I can't seem to find out which it is...

Thanks for any help

best

Wow! Thanks guys.

Is there one of the apps that you would recommend? I have a MBP C2D bought in Dec '06.
Just looked 'em up and I will use Clear Dock!

Thanks again for all your help - brilliant!

Im waiting for transparentdock to catch up to intel.

Cleardock and the APE....

dont get me started on APE....

What is APE? Should I not use Cleardock? Oh no - now I'm getting paranoid. I don't download a lot of apps because I don't want my system busted up!

Is Cleardock safe to use?

Thanks again

APE is Application Enhancer, I think it comes with the ClearDock installation image file.
I personally haven't had any problems with it, but I only used ClearDock briefly, as it turned out that I liked the grey background, and thus removed it along with APE.

I suggest you download and install ClearDock, if you don't like it, you just remove it again. No harms done.
With your machine, you won't notice any slowdown. (because there will not be any;) )
