uMPB Screen Setup

What's up guys? I'm new to the Mac world and just picked up a 17'' uMBP this week with the matte screen. I was reading around and noticed people changed the screen settings to optimize the matte screen's viewing potential on their macbooks. Would anyone be so kind to divulge their screen settings so that I can get the most from my MBP? Thanks!
