Hello

My mother just purchased an iPhone 4S online. It was sadly locked to the network 3. However I told her that I could give it a shoot to unlock it. I backed up the iphone with iTunes and since I could not find any way to unlock it from 3 I wanna revert the jailbreak. However now it say that the sim that is inside my phone is not supported with iTunes.

how do I fix this?

you can get to the main screen by using method below, but the phone will not be activated.

1. Put any other carrier sim card into iPhone 4/4s.
2. Now go to activate screen.
3. Press "Home" button Once , you will see three option choose "Emergency call"
4. Dial 112 (Don't end it leave it)
5. Hold Power Button until "slide to power off" appears.
6. "cancle" it and go back to your Running 112 call.
7. Now "End" it.
8. Yeah !! Done you should see iPhone's Home screen.
9. After You see Home Screen Eject your Sim from the sim Tray.

How is this gonna help me unjailbreak it?

Unjailbreak is very simple, just put it in DFU mode and restore to stock 5.1.1

Without a GEVEY SIM interposer or the original SIM which the phone is locked to you can't use the phone, above method will at least give you access to the main screen.

Jus order a GEVEY SIM or sell it and get an unlocked phone.

I'd sell it on and buy an unlocked one, as assuming you mean 3 UK then they're notorious for only allowing the original owner, and only the original owner, to unlock the phone.
