anybody got any clue how to do it?

i cant seem to really do anything cool with the jailbreak, winterboard doesnt work, the downloaded games dont work so i just want to return my ipod back to normal...anybody no how to do this?

any videos that someone can suggest?

Just go to itunes and hit the restore button. It should work, but you'll lose all your stuff, so sync it first, restore and sync again.

sync the ipod just to loose the stuff then restore and sync again?? isnt that a bit pointless?

I'd say just restore and sync

when i restore it says that it cant find some software, i think its the 2.2.1 ispw or something. and when i do download it from somewhere i get a 1601 error.

any suggestions?

you're trying to Restore through iTunes right? cause the only time i've ever seen anything ISPW related was when i used QuickPWN.

He has jailbroken his iTouch with redsn0w and possibly every time he reboots the device he needs to apply a patch.
I am not familiar with the tethered jailbreak and how to restore afterwards, but just to let you guys know what it's about.

ohh yeah i kind of forgot that whole deal with the 2G Touchs.

DollarsandGirls, this is what I've found by Googling...

if you update with the official FW via iTunes, no matter if 2.02 or possible 2.03
it will get locked again. In the first case the baseband chip the sim lock should stay unlocked, but with a new FW the chip gets overwritten with the new FW and you are completely locked and it will have to be reg. via iTunes. (2G models)

That means that you will have to wait for a new software release from Apple and your iPod will be locked again.
In the meantime you can skim through Cydia, there are great things there and if you try them you will possibly come to like your jailbroken iPod Touch (maybe you can't install anything because you don't have an internet connection? The iPod must be connected to the internet in order to install apps).
Hope this helps.
