Unable to access dashboard widgets from APPLE

I am now unable to access dashboard widgets from http://www.apple.com/downloads/

Everytime I click to view the widgets I get the message "You don't have permission to access /downloads/dashboard/ on this server"

Ever since I updated to 10.6.8 I can't access the widgets. I wonder if this is in preparation for Lion.

It doesn't have anything to do with the 10.6.8 update, as it does the same thing on 10.5.8. It's the site, and will most likely be corrected fairly soon.

I'm getting the same. As said above - it has nothing to do with update. Apple is probably updating the page or something.

If that's how you see it.
It's hard for me to believe that outdated widgets still have a functionality that overshadows the disproportionate resources needed and the general clunkiness of the thing. Widgets are practically retro.

Just because you may not have a need or use for widgets doesn't mean others don't. I use iStat Pro, as well as widgets for lyrics, unit conversion, weather, etc. It's extremely efficient to access those resources with a quick movement of the mouse.
