iPhone 6(S)/Plus Unable to add mail account (see screen recording)

Any idea why this is happening and how to fix?
Fixes tried:
- restarting phone
- restarting app
- deleting mail account and re-adding

all to no avail.

Also having problems. I can add Gmail accounts but not Outlook.com or Exchange - been like that for hours on my phone, my wife’s and my three kids and the same in the iPads

Yep, outlook email is the issue for me as well.

I suppose Microsoft/Apple has some sort of troubles. I can use the accounts in the Outlook app but I don’t like it so I prefer them in apple mail

Same here, and because I can’t use the account in the Apple app I have lost a number of contacts. How can I regain them?

I can’t add an existing outlook email address to the Apple mail on my iPhones and iPad if I use the outlook.com option but I did manage to add it successfully using the Exchange option. No such problems on my MacBook (Catalina). The outlook.com option either does nothing or adds a null account which then can’t be edited

It appears to now be working again. Can add outlook.com addresses as before.

I was able to add an Outlook email address and a Hotmail email address using Microsoft Exchange. I had to find the server from an iPad account setting, but other than signing in twice it was easy and worked perfectly. I tried to report the error with Outlook to Support but I don’t have much faith the woman I spoke too understood the issue.
