Unable to add Starbucks to Passbook

I am running the latest version if iOS 6 as well as the latest version of the Starbucks app. The app does not give me an option to add a card to Passbook when I launch the app nor does it from the manage card menu. Anyone else have this problem? What to do? I've tried deleting and reinstalling it.

Have you tried signing up? That's the only thing I can think of at the moment that might be affecting it, and that's an option on that popup.

Grr I was really hoping it wouldn't be that, but it was. I think it's lame they force you to sign up to use that feature but also don't tell you that anywhere at all. I googled all around and read many threads about the app and it never gets mentioned. Weird.

Thanks for confirming my fears I guess, ha! At least I get to use Passbook now.
