I just scanned at least 6 documents (unknown size) and when I try to attach using Outlook for iOS, I selected Attach Files then I browsed into the Files app where all these documents been saved but whenever I go into the Files app / On My iPhone, it spits out an error saying Something Went Wrong Tap to Retry.

As a workaround, I can select all the scanned documents then select Share and then select Outlook and it will attach the files to Outlook app.

If it's a permission issue, then is there any way to add Outlook app to access the Files app?

Update >>> Or maybe it would work if I had chosen the option that's shown in image?

I don't know the answer, but often it is very useful to have the exact error message, and then search on that.

EDIT: I did some searching and among other hits I found an old thread at Apple Support Community. I didn't find any solutions, only comments from people that they had not found any solution, and other comments that an app update corrected the problem.

I'm curious if this worked in the past. For what it is worth, I've had issues like this (not with Outlook, but with other apps) where something that worked then stops working and then gets fixed with a subsequent app update (all while the developer says they cannot reproduce the issue).

I'm curious to see what others say.

My fault..

Problem solved.

You need to select the Other Locations / iCloud Drive & Device and then you have the option to select the files to attach.

Guess I was in a hurry and overlooked.

Sounds like Other Locations / iCloud Drive & Device is a selection within Outlook? I assumed (I don't use Outlook for iOS) you select Attach in Outlook and then navigate to the folder and select file. And you did that but got the error.

I'm happy you figured it out.
