I have the 2.0ghz aluminum macbook. When I try to burn a dvd to a dvd-r disc it appears as if it is working then at the end says unable to burn disc because communication to the disc drive failed error code: 0x80020022. When burning CD's I have no problems. I have already had the disc drive replaced because it came with a faulty one. The brand of disc I am using is TDK. I have also tried using an external disc drive and it still gets the same error code. And yes I have tried Google. Is this software, hardware, or just a compatibility issue?

Thanks.

Sounds strange, but see if you can try another brand of media to see if that works.

Sometimes they're just finnicky. I find Verbatim or Sony to be the best for Mac. Apple Stores sell Verbatim.
