Having problems here also. Trying to rent movies through AppleTV from iTunes but I get an error message saying that there is a problem with the iTunes store. Trailers play fine, but can't rent movies.

They just upgraded a bunch of my songs to AAC plus. Maybe there's something brewing...

happened to me sunday. said my account was disabled and they cleared the remaining gift card balance of $2.99. that's what i get for buying gift cards from eBay at half price. anyhow, got it re-enabled via live chat the next day.

can you explain in more detail what happened? it's intriguing! like, they upgraded your previous purchases to itunes plus? that would be sweet.

Per Apple this is how to fix it:

Toggle from cart to 1 touch, quit itunes, restart itunes, reset your pref. Worked for me... Seems to be affecting lots of people tonight tho in their support forums...

EDIT: Tried the toggle on/off shopping cart. Back to normal
