Unable to Connect iPhone and rMBP via Bluetooth?

I wanted to connect my iPhone 5 and Retina MacBook Pro via Bluetooth so I can use the Keynote Remote, however they simply refuse to work together. Each devices can see the other, but they will not connect at all.

Help?

When using it with a Mac it has to be over Wi-Fi. Bluetooth only supports connections between iOS devices.
