Hi,

I have a MBP and I have a lot of PCs around my house which I would like to be able to connect to them via my network so I may access files off them and share files from my MBP.

I'm able to see all the PCs in finder under the shared tab when they are turned on but when I click on any of them they always just say connect and will never connect, none are password protected so how would I be able to connect to them via my MBP. Thanks

how are you connecting.. SMB??

You should be able to connect via finder. Select Go... Connect to Server..

enter smb://the-name-of-your-pc

or

smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <- the IP address of the PC

All the computers are connected to Netgear wireless router, the names of all the PCs are in the left side bar of finder, when I click on a PC to connect it just keep saying connecting...

although i'm able to click connect as but when I do it ask for the name and password and none of my PCs have passwords on them so when I type in the name it never actually connects.
