Unable to connect TX700W to my MacBook Pro

I have an early 2013 Macbook pro with retina, and im having trouble connecting it to my epson tx700w wirelessly.
I use the add printer option and type in my ip address for the printer and everything as the epson website told me to.http://esupport.epson-europe.com/Vi...FAM4YdSG30hHpkl4z2B1Q6UCU002FeVlCLsU003D#toc2

I keep getting an error along the lines of: Unable to verify the printer on your network
unable to connect to 192.168.1.9 due to an error, would you still like to create the printer?

I am absolutely stumped
