Unable to delete Contacts from Favourite List

Since IOS 14 and still on IOS 14.4.1, I have unable to delete Contacts off my favourite list, if I swipe left and click on delete the name disappears but within a few seconds it reappears also if I delete the contact from my phone book contact list, in the favorite list the name disappears but it shows the number instead, I'm unable to delete Contacts from the favorite list.

Suggest trying to delete through iCloud.

Go iCloud.com, log in to your account - go to contacts and delete from there.
