Like many people, updating to Big Sur Public Beta put an alias on my Desktop to a Relocated Items folder. Knowing this should be safe to delete, I tried to delete the Desktop alias first, only to be presented with the following message: "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "Relocated Items" can't be read or written. (Error code -36)". I can delete the actual Relocated Items folder but the alias refuses to go away. Other than a few glitches in the Music app with Play buttons not working, I'm otherwise finding the Beta pretty stable and liking it a lot.
