Unable to delete these files from trash

Hi

I have 3 files in my trash and I cannot delete, move or do anything with them. If I drag them back onto the desktop they disappear only to reaper back in the trash the next time i click on it. If I empty the trash they disappear again only to reappear the next time i click on the trash icon!!! Very frustrating as I'm not sure where the files even came from in the first place!

Does anyone have any advice?

I don't want to sound condescending, but have you restarted yet?

Try holding the "Option" key down and click on "Empty trash"
