I have been downloading podcasts without problems onto my iPod. Lately I have been unable to download podcast onto my iPod touch. Before I used to download and the "get more episodes" without problems. Now I am unable to download podcasts direct from iTunes as well. I get an attempt at "loading" for a split second then the touch screen blacks out and returns to the original touch screen. How can this problem be solved? Thanks.

Try downloading the podcasts in a number of different ways.

Try:
  • Subscribing and waiting for something to happen
  • Downloading directly from iTunes
  • Downloading directly from an iPod
  • Using a link from a station or website that carries the podcast you want

I have tried that

I have tried all the options and while I could download podcasts now I cannot. It is strange. I have no podcasts on my iPod and there is no problem with memory storage.

you should probably take it to an apple store, other than that cant help, sorry.

Problem downloading Podcasts Solved

Apparently there was a software problem with Apple iTunes. I downloaded the latest update of after going into iTunes site on my pc which suggested downloading the latest update. This restored the factory settings and synchronized my iPod with my computer and so far so good.
