I have installed a 3rd party software (database) that is compatible with Mac. I installed the software on the Server, and then installed the client portion to my other Mac. (All Macs on OS X 10.4.11) When the client-installed software asked where the data file is I opened Finder and pointed to the server machine, and to the file itself ODB_Admin.df1 and then received the message "Unable to find ODB_Admin.df1".

I have created a text file on the server in the same directory as the *.df1 file.
From the client machine I can open, read, edit, and save that text file to the server directory. I checked the permissions on the server directory that holds this data file as well as the data file itself and they are both Read and Write permissions for the Owner, the Admin group (we connect as a member of the Admin group), and for Others.

Can you help?
