I cannot mount any USB flash drive. Since upgrading from Sequoia to Tahoe, my MacBook Pro M3 has been unable to recognize any USB drive. An attempt to erase a drive ends with error -69842. The same USB drives, when connected to a PC or Macs running Sequoia, can be formatted without any issues and work normally. However, when plugged into the MacBook Pro M3, they remain invisible. Disk Utility shows them as greyed-out volumes. Neither First Aid nor attempting to mount the disk works.

Did you go to system settings --> privacy & security
and then
scroll down to the popup that gives you the choice to mount all external devices?
(sorry, typing this on my Mini, don't have access to my MacBook Pro at the moment)
