Not to be nit-picky, but I just noticed that on both my iPhone 3G and my wife's 1st gen iPhone, both running 3.0, I'm unable to fully close out Safari and iPod by holding the home button for a few seconds in order to free up ram. Has anyone else noticed this and having the same problem? Is it a bug or was it changed on purpose? Just curious. I searched here as well as Google but couldn't find anything on it.

Hold the power button until the slide to power off comes up, then hold the home button for 6 seconds. Apple changed the force-quit in 3.0.

Hold the sleep button and the home button (or I suppose just the sleep button) until the red slider appears. Then press and hold the home button.

closing all tabs in safari causes it to not run in the background.. i find this easier (still find SBSettings the easiest)
