All Devices Unable to include HomePod in HomeKit scenes with iOS 13

Hi Folks. I have seen several IOS 13 preview videos that include adding HomePod to scenes in HomeKit. However, that option is not available in my Home app. My HomePods are all on 12.4 (seems to be latest non-beta update) but my iPhone is on the latest public beta of IOS 13.1. I believe there is a HomePod update coming. Is that required to add HomePod to scenes?
