Hi guys,

I have a 2010 MBP 13''. Last week i replaced the HDD with an SDD (wow, what a difference) i also took the opportunity to upgrade the OS. Originally i was running OSX 10.6, i have now upgraded to El Capitan.

When running OSX 10.6, i installed Windows 7 via Bootcamp through a CD/SuperDrive with no issues whatsoever.

Now, with El Capitan, i can open the Bootcamp Utility Assistant, download the necessary drivers, however upon inserting the same disc i used as before, i am constantly presented with:

"insert your windows installer disc and wait a few seconds for the disc to be recognized"

Please can someone help me with this? I've been searching workarounds for nearly 8days straight with no luck!

Any help really appreciated.

What does the second page of the Boot Camp Assistant say? On my 2015 it says "Windows 8 or later", but I'd imagine that Windows 7 would work on a 2010.
