Unable to log in to user account after Directory save change

I recently put in a new samsung 840 pro ssd into my late 2011 macbook pro. Today I removed the optical drive and placed the old HDD that came with my computer back in. I was doing some common tweaks to my computer as well and one being moving where my home directory is stored. I went into user and groups then advanced settings and changed where it was stored to my now internal second storage device hdd. When I restarted It was as if I opened my laptop day one again no setting or anything. So i figured I'd try and put the home directory back where it previously was. I either got it wrong or that isn't an option and I am now stuck at the login screen on my computer with an error message saying I can't log in. Please help!
