Hi there,

I have both Excel and Numbers installed on my MacBook Pro.

When I try to open an existing file in Excel, the file opens in Numbers.

How do I make my existing Excel files open in Excel?

Regards/DH

Find the file in Finder, right click and select Open With....Other. Click Always Open With and then open with Excel.

I think that once you use Open With and then save the Excel file, um, in Excel, it will open in Excel the next time with a double click.

No problem. BTW, this isn't an Excel issue, it's a general file format issue handled by the OS. Both Mac and Win have this feature. So if it comes up with any other type of file, same commands to fix it.
