iPhone Unable to parse IPSW

I tried to upgrade my iPhone 3GS from iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1.2 via this tutorial:

But when I select iOS 6.1.2 as IPSW, it gives an error "Unable to parse IPSW. Are you sure it's really an IPSW?"

Though I had previously downloaded from the same source, but re-downloading helped! You were right about the corrupted IPSW!

i want to downgrade from 7.1.1 to 5.1.1 i try to download alot ipw but its still not work any can help me PLEASE

you cannot downgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 5

Seconded. You cannot downgrade. No redsnow or anything else will allow you to. Redsnow was not designed for iOS 7

Why would you reply to a year old thread?
And this thread has nothing to do with ios 7 or an ipad.
Totally different ios versions, devices etc...
Start your own thread if you need to ask a question instead of digging old dead threads up.
Unfortunately like said above what you're trying to do is not possible.
