Unable to paste files

Have a user on 10.6.8 that when she copies and pastes files on a windows server, she gets the message

"one or more of the items may have been deleted or are no longer available"

Saving is fine, and a Mavericks machine is fine. Just waiting to see if any other 10.6 workstations have the issue. Accessing the server via SMB.

Anybody got any tips?
