Hello I was using MetaX to tag videos I converted with handbrake from some dvds that i own. I had around 30 videos queued up (it was a complete tv show season i wanted to tag at the same time). Well the power went out while they were queued up, it wasn't writing to any of them or anything other than just being queued. So when I turned my iMac back on I was unable to play about half of the files in iTunes or quicktime.

Are these files a total loss or is there some way to rescue them? I know they were all good before the power outage, I test play my files in quicktime before I tag them.

(edit)
Oh yeah the files are stored on an external hard drive.
