Unable to Play Scary Movie 2

I have an iMac DV-ES 400Mhz,384sdRAM. Running Mac OS 10.1.2
and Mac OS 9.2.2. Both operating systems are up to date with all the updates and drivers.
I'm able to play other DVD movies,but not Scary movie 2. It spins for a while then it'll eject it automatically, in both OS's. I heard somethin about a problem regarding the first generation of iMac DV's and their dvd players, I checked that, and I'm not affected by it.
Has anyone experienced somethin like this? Any recomendations,or suggestions?
I hope that the new iMac that I'm expecting doesn't have this same ****.

the movie plays on regular dvd players i checked that already.

Me too but with CD's

I have the same problem but with my G4 400. It won't take some original CD's.

Does any body know anything about that isssue with regular CD's.?

It may be an issue with how Scary Movie 2 was encoded. I remember right after I got my G4 400 PCI I bought the Matrix DVD and tried to play it but it wouldn't. It was due to an incompatibility issue when they formatted them. There was some way to get around it, like hold down "i" when inserting the disc or something. It was weird. Not sure if this is the same case or not.
