Unable to quit iTunes with Keyboard

As of this morning, I am unable to quit iTunes with the keyboard. I have to go to "Quit iTunes". Command Q does not work. It works in other applications. I have reinstaleld itunes, with no avail. I have not made any changes to the system at all since I last used this app. any suggestions.

it is probably something to do with the preferences i would guess, hope you get it figured out

Tried that. Didn't make a difference. now its doing the same thing in Thunderbird, Camino, and AstroPlanner. Its not like its the most horriable thing, more of a annoyance.
