Unable to receive calls on watch after Car Play connection

Just wondering if others are experiencing this issue?

After using Apple Car Play (wirelessly) calls do not get routed the the Apple Watch. Other notifications go through but not calls. This remains the same until the phone is restarted. Restarting the watch does not resolve this.

Its been a problem for sometime now and a real pain as every car journey I have to decide not to use Car Play wirelessly (which is super convenient) or to reboot the phone after the journey.

In the UK on the EE network with both and Apple Watch 5 and SE (Cellular) paired to two iPhones in the family - all of which on latest software etc.
