OK, Yosemite is finally out (yay!) so I removed the old partition with Yosemite Beta using Disk Utility to upgrade the main Mavericks partition.
But I can get the main partition to fill the recovered free space. In Disk Utility I can drag the partition down into where Yosemite was but when I click apply I get "an error occurred" and it reverts back.
I've done a FSCK -FY but this came back clean.
Strangely, typing diskutil resizeVolume /dev/disk0s2 limits into Terminal states the partition is already at it's maximum limit!
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
UPDATE: Turns out the recovery partition was blocking the main partition from resizing. Deleting the recovery partition has now allowed me to resize into where Yosemite Beta was installed.
UPDATE 2: Seem Bootcamp got borked too, thank goodness for WinClone!
