Hi,

I couldn't find an answer to this already, sorry if someone's covered it. I'd be immensely grateful if you can help.

I tried to install the latest upgrade for the iphone today as I planned to use a bit of free time to clear up some of the junk on my phone. I last backed it up on the 1st Dec. It said that there was some problem with the device and I couldn't back it up prior to installing the new update, but I thought, well, no big deal, I'll just lose a couple of weeks of text messages.

After it had updated I chose the option to restore from backup and got the following error message:

"Itunes could not restore the iPhone "Mhari's iPhone" because the iPhone refused the request"

So I have an empty phone, and no way I can see to recover my messages, photos, or contacts (I don't use outlook, so hadn't synced them there)

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Mhari
