My iPhone was running out of space and was having heat problems, so I decided to restore it.

Whenever I delete music, it turns into "other". Since this morning, I have also been unable to backup, sync or restore my iPhone, and attempting to do so crashes both iTunes and the phone.

Any ideas how I can resolve this issue?

It looks like you are running out of room and need to make some hard choices on your music collection and purchase another device with more memory

I managed to get it to start restoring. It's been going for over an hour now (I think), and it still says "Time remaining: About 2 hours" for restoring it from the backup. I thought it restores it, and then it is synced? It's taking far too long, because it hasn't started syncing yet.

Succeeded in restoring it, but I've lost all my settings (except for stuff like contacts and emails). Any way to get them back?

EDIT: Haven't got contacts. Just got email accounts.
