External hard drive FreeAgent Pro 750GB with Firewire 400
Mac Mini OS X 10.5.6 120GB 2GB ram

Created a MAC HD image on FreeAgent Pro 750 gb external drive but did not make it bootable. Now I cannot restore from the external drive where the macHD.dmg is stored.I believe I should have made the Image bootabe on the external drive  ,but too late.
Thanks

All your files should be there... and you can copy them over
But you will need an operating system to do so

But you are right, if you want to boot/re-clone then you needed to make it bootable

Dawg, How can I make my external drive bootable at this stage?

I think you are SOL in that regard at this point my friend

What is your status?
Did your Mac Mini go down?
If so, what is the issue?

I accidentally deleted some applications from my Mac HD.It has to do with setting date and time. Now when I clicked "open date and time" nothing happened.Called Apple support they thought I should use "archive and install"to restore.A little more complicated for me who is new to MAC from PC.

Actually, archive and install is your best option
Do you have the restore disks that came with your computer?
You will need to boot from the disk
The process is fairly simple
