Hello folks,
I hope that someone can shed some light for me.
First off, I came "into" this situation after the following happened.
The user copied an entire backed up an entire iMac and then restored to a new iMac. I was told that they did not transfer the user data (but again, I was not involved so I can't be 100% sure). Since they did this, the search functionality does not work on the new iMac, says "No Results Found".
What I have done.
I have reindexted the entire drive. This did not help so then I did this.
sudo chown root:wheel "/Applications/Microsoft Office 2011"
sudo chmod 755 "/Applications/Microsoft Office 2011"
sudo mdutil -a -i off
sudo rm -rf /.Spotlight-V100 (get this command right)
sudo mdutil -a -i on
This did not help as well.
I have read through many threads on here and just don't see anything else that would help.
Any assistance anyone could give would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
