Hello, (Sorry if this is in the wrong spot)...
I have two MacBook Pros and one of them is unable to connect to my company network via VPN. Here's a detailed breakdown;
My mid-2009 MBP was configured using VPN to connect to my companys network and it worked fine at home on my Linksys driven wireless network. I got a new MBP (2012 13" model) and cloned the drive to it and re-imaged the old mid-2009 MBP. Both machines are running Mountain Lion.
So, here's the strange part; my 2012 MBP with the cloned drive continues to work fine. I can connect to VPN without issue and then use Remote Desktop Connection or CoRD and everything works great. However, on my 2009 MBP with a clean image, I can connec to VPN without incident but when I use RDC or CoRD, it fails to connect constantly saying "timed out".
I've cross-checked all the settings in both the network/VPN settings panel and in both RDC and CoRD settings (among anywhere else I could think of) and everything is exactly the same. They are both on the same wireless network, both running the latest updates of Mountain Lion....the only difference is that the newly imaged 2009 MBP has a password set while the cloned 2012 MBP does not.
Please help!
