Unable to select restore point

Hi there,

I am using a Iphone 3G.

I did a backup on Oct 28 trying to back up all my note and etc before a Firmware update. Friend of mine updated it to OS4 i believe.

Anyway after I done the update i try to restore my old data back to my phone and it will not work.

What happened is when i click restore, it the restore date(Oct28) is there but it will NOT LET me choose it (more like unable to select).

Did i do something wrong? I really nnnnneeed those notes in my Iphone.
