I’m using a iPhone 17 Pro Max. I noticed that when I send a pic to any android user, they get a fuzzy / unreadable pic that says “Tap to save”.

However, if I take a regular photo and send it, they get the pic fine.

I reset the iPhone’s network setting and the issue is still there.

Do anyone know of a fix to this issue?

My carrier is ATT if that matters.

Update:

I found out the issue only happens when I send screenshots not when I send a regular photo.

The other thing I discovered is that it only happens if I take a screenshot and immediately attach it to a text message and send it. The other person will then get that fuzzy picture that tells you to tap to download.

I also found out if I take a screenshot and make any type of edits to the screenshot, for example, if I write on this screenshot and send it, the other person will also get the fuzzy picture that tells you to tap to download.

What does Work is if I take a screenshot save it to my Photos album, and then go into the text messages thread, and then attach the photo and send it. The other person would receive it correctly.

I was having an issue where my neighbor was not getting the photos I sent to her Android phone. Problems started with upgrade to iOS26. Finally did a hard reset on my 12P phone, and that solved the problem.

That will be my last resort. Did you restore from a backup after you did a hard reset?

No, just powered down and then restarted. Read that certain files might not have been updated in software update.

Oh ok … you said “hard reset” so I assumed you meant, you factory reset the phone.

I have turned the iPhone off on and the issue was still there.
