Unable to sync following upgrade to iOS 9

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 9 and now there seems to be no synching going on between the iPhone and my MBA running OSX 10.9.5. Is there a setting I should reset somewhere ? Anyone else had this problem ?
