G'day folks,

A while ago, I changed routers and now I'm unable to download torrents.

I frequently use torrents because download speeds are limited here in Queenstown, NZ and so I normally prefer to pause my downloads during the day and resume it during the night.

Any idea why I'm no longer able to use torrents? Do I need to mess around with my router's settings (i.e. changing the ports, or other things)?

Also, if my ISP is blocking it, is it possible to bypass it with other means? I've tried using VPNbook, but I only to use it within a VM isolated from my host OS, for security reasons, so it's kind of inconvenient.

I'd greatly appreciate any help that I can get from this forum.

You've posted a problem with your new router in a thread about OS X Mavericks, and as you've probably realised, the problem isn't with OSX. You might need to open a port on your router - try portforward.com for help
